California Public Pay goes live

The California Public Pay website went live today. The website takes the theme of "Open Data", "Open Government" and "Government Accountability" to a new level.
Public Pay solution provides easy to understand and simple to navigate visualizations for salary & compensation information for public entities in California, including 58 counties, more than 450 cities, more than 2900 special districts, 24 higher education providers, community colleges and most state employees for a total of more than 1.5 million positions.

"Where are the Jobs?" wins "Best of California 2012" award

"Where are the Jobs?" (www.where-are-the-jobs.com) has been voted as the Best Private Sector Application by the participants of GTC West 2012 conference. The conference brings together CIOs and executives from western US state and local governments.  Where are the Jobs? allows users to interactively explore the salary and job statistics for various occupations at national, state and regional levels.  The application uses "open data" from US DOL, Bureau of labor statistics (read more)

Cal EMA public website is live with SharePoint 2010

The California Emergency Management Agency's public website went live today.  The website is one of the first state agency implementations that used SharePoint 2010 for public facing sites.  With this, Cal EMA migrated their web presence from the old Novel platform to the latest SharePoint 2010 platform.

The newly redesigned SaveOurH2O website is launched today! The new website provides a fresh, consumer oriented look and feel, more dynamic and engaging features, which is a sharp contrast to the most government-run water conservation sites that have a staid, government feel to the websites.

Business.CA.Gov Goes Live

California's Governor's Office of Economic Development website, has just gone live! The project took 23 days from idea to launch. The project is a fine example of SymSoft's ability to work at a fast pace and deliver quality with collaboration across a number of stakeholders.
