Acquisition Reporting and Management System

The California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Contracts and Procurements Section (C&PS) is responsible for managing all the grant management, contracting and procurement activities within the department, as well as ensuring compliance with state contracting. As the C&PS fulfills these responsibilities, the section identified a need for an Acquisition Management and Reporting System (AMRS), that will enable the C&PS staff to manage the acquisition information and associated documents in a central database, as well as provide consolidated reporting of the acquisition data by various parameters including reporting by fiscal year(s), by acquisition type, by vendor name, by analyst, among others.

The DOR selected SymSoft Solutions to analyze, design and develop this comprehensive system through a competitive bidding process. The application is currently being developed and supports the business functionality listed above. In addition, the application supports web-based administrative interface for data entry and rich business intelligence reporting, with multiple filters for customizing the reports. The application will also support document management for managing the procurement related documents.
