SymSoft designed and developed the State of California's open data repository, data.ca.gov. The Data.ca.gov provides a single source of raw, machine-readable data in the state. The centralized data repository allows the public to find, use, and repackage the volumes of data generated by the State. Prior to the advent of Data.ca.gov it was difficult to find raw data in various places throughout government.
The website provides access to over 400 sources of data and more than 100 million open data records. With the faceted search and filtering features, the users can find raw data in various categories including the economy, public health, transportation, environment, and more on this single website.
