State of Colorado Drive Insured Program

Colorado Interactive (A state portal managed by NIC Inc.), approached SymSoft to design and develop a system to process vehicle insurance information sent electronically by insurance companies in EDI format.  SymSoft analyzed the requirements, conducted system analysis to identify various interfaces and system architecture, designed and developed complete solution to help both the insurance companies to submit their data and for the state staff to validate the submissions and conduct associated business. The system parses EDI files, validates them for correct syntax and business rules, stores and transmits information to state agencies, and matches the vehicle registrations with insurance policies.  The application used J2EE platform that included both backend processing modules and online web-based application which provides various business functions to insurance companies, Department of Motor Vehicles and portal staff.
